Portal CAB
In May of 2001, MFG Systems Corporation was selected
by Oracle Corporation to serve on its Oracle Portal Customer
Advisory Board. Oracle’s invitation was driven by
the nationwide leadership MFG demonstrated in the first
year of Oracle Portal’s introduction, delivering
implementations for five major corporations.
Because of their 15 year track
record supporting Oracle, MFG Systems was able to
quickly build expertise in Oracle Portal. The business
solutions MFG has developed in Portal include a clinical
trial management system and a customer portal for an
electronic bill processor. Both systems developed for
these organizations are currently running in production.
One system, which has been operational for almost a
year, has generated significant revenue and substantially
reduced the client’s operating costs.
This prestigious invitation is offered to less than
25 companies nationwide and includes representatives
from General Motors and Unocal. The advisory board provides
Oracle with insight to identify software problems, guide
future product enhancements and improvements and strengthen
advantages over competitive products.
“MFG Systems has proven to be an active and valuable
member of the Oracle9iAS Portal Customer Advisory Board,”
says Harry Wong, Principal Product Manager for Oracle9iAS
Portal. “They share their expertise and insight
and have delivered a detailed presentation to the Advisory
Board. This feedback is much appreciated and of great
value to our product development and documentation teams."
Frank Magno, CEO of MFG Systems adds, “Our selection
to the advisory board not only benefits Oracle but also
our clients. We gain a deeper level of understanding
of the product by interacting with this team of leading
customer and Oracle product developers. This group is
also a resource to solve challenging or unique customer
needs.”
MFG Systems has developed the Oracle
Portal Jumpstart program based on its highly efficient
implementation methodology. This program is designed
to provide a rapid and predictable implementation in
six days or less. With Oracle 9iAS Portal in place,
companies can easily build and deploy customized e-business
portals.
